About Me:
My name is Lisa Nikkel. I live in the Canadian prairies with my dear husband and three beautiful children. I am a writer, Bible study-er, homeschooler, knitter, re-watcher of favourite shows, lover of poetry and pie, and a daily napper.
Beside Quiet Waters was born out of a time when I was floundering in motherhood, dealing with chronic illness, and trying to understand what it might mean to follow Jesus through the messiness of what was rather than what I expected.
I would like to invite you to join me on a journey, with Jesus, as we unlearn perfectionism and re-learn to see God’s presence and beauty in the ordinary reality of everyday life.
It is my hope that Beside Quiet Waters would be a light for you when you are struggling and help to lift your eyes to Jesus as you walk through whatever life might throw your way.
